Timothy Greenberg

Managing Attorney

Timothy M. Greenberg was born and raised in New Jersey. He is a graduate of Fordham University and New York Law School. At New York Law School, he was a published member of the school’s law review and graduated magna cum laude and is currently a member of the New York State Bar. After graduation, Mr. Greenberg became a Justice AmeriCorps Legal Fellow at the Safe Passage Project.

After completing his fellowship, he decided to remain at the Safe Passage Project as a staff attorney. During his time at the Safe Passage Project, Mr. Greenberg represented immigrant youths before the New York State Family Court, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”), the Administrative Appeals Office (“AAO”), the New York City Immigration Court, and the Board of Immigration Appeals (“BIA”). He has won many legal victories for his clients, but he is most proud of his contribution to the Saravia v. Barr litigation. The Saravia v. Barr settlement is a landmark victory for family unity and due process.

For his immigration law expertise and contribution to field research, Mr. Greenberg was acknowledged in the New York Civil Liberties Union’s “How Vague Gang Allegations Impact Relief & Bond for Immigrant New Yorkers.” Now, Mr. Greenberg is the Managing Attorney at Singh Ahluwalia Attorneys at Law. In his spare time, Mr. Greenberg enjoys spending time with his wife and two dogs, playing or watching soccer, and playing chess. Mr. Greenberg is fluent in English and Spanish.
